Debbie has touched so many lives around the world with her love, caring nature and beautiful smile. We know how much Debbie cherishes her family and friends, therefore we decided to start a caring bridge site for her to keep her loved ones updated on her health progress.

On Saturday, January 9, Debbie was admitted into Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida with a fever, body rigors, inability to walk, confusion, and minimal speech. She has been battling a very rare infection or disease ever since. Debbie was released from the hospital twice, only to return to Mayo for the third time on January 25, where she is currently being cared for. Originally, the doctors thought she was battling a very severe infection and the antibiotics were improving her symptoms, however Debbie is now undergoing further testing to see if something additional is causing these symptoms. The doctors and nurses at Mayo are working hard to find answers, however she still does not have an official diagnosis.

As some of you may know, Debbie has also battled rheumatoid arthritis since she was 8 years old and she has been a breast cancer survivor for 16 years. Debbie is the strongest woman we know, and we continue to be inspired by her determination to fight these health challenges.

Debbie has had her husband Paul and her sister Laurie by her side throughout the past three and a half weeks, and will continue to have family and friends supporting her as she battles this disease or infection. We continue to hold her in our thoughts and prayers, with the hope her health will improve each day.

We will post updates to this Caring Bridge site as we learn more, and we will be sure to share any messages posted on this site with Debbie. Please keep Debbie in your thoughts and prayers!

With love,

Paul, Laurie, Dave, Lindsay and Alli
