Most of you know my story by now, so I’ll keep it short. October 3rd was a life changing day for me. That was the day I was diagnosed with liver cancer. Before then, my days were filled with pretty much whatever Bailey and I wanted to do or absolutely nothing at all. Now, they’re like the balancing rock pictured above trying to keep all the various tests and appointments in perfect alignment, which ones you have to “fast” for and which ones you need drivers for. All the while, your head continues to try and comprehend, “He said I had what? Liver cancer? I have maybe 5 drinks a year and never had hepatitis!”. Then I find out I have the kind that started in my liver, which, in itself is rare!!

So, now we’re at 11/12 and today, I’m going on to have a port put in to make chemotherapy easier. Tomorrow, I’m having an endoscopy done, my final test for now and then Thursday I have a chemo class and then I’ll be ready to start chemo. Have not been told if chemo will start next week but I think it will. It will be 1 day/ week for two weeks, then 1 week off, repeat.
