Read Debbie’s story. I am spending Thanksgiving this year a bit differently than I have in the past. I have been in San Antonio’s Methodist Hospital in the Medical Center since Friday 11/16/18 and I have been diagnosed with cancer. I have asked the Lord so often, what is it you want me to do with my life Lord? Since, as you probably know, I can be a bit strong willed & don’t listen, He has gotten my attention & told me that it’s time for me to slow down and surrender my life to him. I am starting the great adventure of an awakening to the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has cleared my path from work, worry and fear & is enveloping me in the glory of his great love that I have been unable to understand until now. I know I am just beginning this journey but I have been overwhelmed by the power of God‘s ever present love. I am filled with the Holy Spirit and I have received an outpouring of love from people, prayers, hugs, kind compassionate Doctors, nurses and staff who have openly prayed with me. The Lord is orchestrating this journey and I am his instrument. I am reaching out to you to let you all know how tremendous the love of our Holy Father is. You have all touched my life & I know he has filled me with sunshine that I am to spread to others. So, I ask for your support to hold me up and keep me joyful and focused on Him and ready to do his work. God bless you all as we travel along this journey together. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.
