June 13, 2019 - I went in for my routine mammogram. During the exam they switched to 3D. After review, they wanted to do an ultrasound. After the ultrasound, I knew things were not going well. I asked when I would get results and they stated, I would know before I left. They came in and told me that they were 95% sure it was cancer. They then scheduled me for a biopsy to confirm the type of cancer. On 6/19/2019 - I had a biopsy of the right breast. On 6/21/2019- they confirmed that I had Invasive Ductal Carcinoma; estrogen positive, progesterone positive, HER2 negative, grade 2. It is small Stage 1A.
