Deann Knapp

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. As many of you know, Deann has been battling a mystery illness. She has been a courageous warrior, even through the many hospitalizations, procedures, tests, and  inexplicable weight loss and resulting weakness throughout her body.  The frustration of the unknown has weighed heavily on her body,heart mind, and spirit.  Deann is a realist. As an RN and up until the illness forced her to resign  in March of 2017 as a hospice nurse, Deann has been prepared for a concrete answer regarding her condition.  She has been waging a war on fatigue, nausea,  countless infections, a chronic cough, weakening muscles, lack of appetite, and inexplicable weight loss. 80 lbs down since December of 2016 and counting.  There have been so many emotions- but the most important at this point is HOPE. We are hopeful that she will get the answers she needs to begin healing. And that treatment will be imminent and successful.  And we have faith that  her new medical team will solve this mystery once and for all.   We all need to remember that FAITH is like WI-FI; It's invisible but has the power to connect you to what you need.
