Dean McKenney Confident Hope for Dean

Grace and Peace to you, dear family and friends. It is with bold confidence and  HOPE that we announce dad's open heart surgery, scheduled for this Wednesday, November 14. We hope this letter will offer insight into dad's physical health, prompt you to cover him in prayer, and serve to grow all of our faith as we take notice of "the  good things He has done. " 
The surgery is considered significant, where they will address many of the heart issues Dean has endured for many years. Mom and Dad feel blessed to have Dean at Mayo Clinic, where he will surely receive the best of care, as the timing today is critical. We are relived to know he will  receive a much needed  aortic valve replacement, as the current valve is only worsening in condition. Dean will also undergo a  maze procedure to ideally fix the pestering AFIB condition. Lastly, doctors will  address the AAA (aneurysm) they have carefully monitored for over a decade . 
As I opened my Bible and  began this letter, my eyes fell upon these God breathed words; " I am still confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait  for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Psalm 27:13-14. Yes, this is a major surgery. Dean has proven to be physically strong, and well conditioned. He is spiritually robust, and his confidence in the Lord is unwavering. We welcome your words of encouragement on this site, as they will surely encourage mom and dad's spirit.
