Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Jackie got her first deep brain stimulation units installed back in 2006. They are like a pacemaker for the brain that helps with some of the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. She is in today for replacement of one of the battery units and it is also going to be upgraded in preparation for an additional (fourth) wire into her brain that will be installed in the spring.
