Dawn has undergone two surgeries to repair a diseased artery in her brain that had 2 aneurysms. So that there is no further danger of rupture, the artery has been closed off, causing minor stroke symptoms. Her recovery time will be months, and friends and family have already been a great help to her family's spirits, but the Moffitts welcome any and all gestures to help out, whether its dropping off dinner, running errands, or sitting with Dawn. At this time she is at New Hanover Regional Medical Center but she will transition home soon
