My story...
Two years and two weeks ago I had surgery for Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Breast Cancer). I went through the partial mastectomy along with 19 rounds of radiation. Every check up showed that I has kicked cancer in the butt...till now. I went in for my yearly mammogram on Wednesday January 20th. On Thursday I got a call telling me that I needed to come in for an ultrasound and possible biopsy. Of course my mind immediately shut down as soon as I heard they had found a lump in my left breast. (The right is where the cancer was last time). When they called back I was ready with questions but they had no answers. I went in on Friday January 22 to have the Ultrasound. They found the spot so asked if I was ready to do the biopsy so I wouldn't have to wait. Of course I said yes...get it done!! So within minutes it was done and the doctor said it looked like it was cancer.
Well fast forward to today. I got my results... Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the left breast. I don't have the full pathology info however. I wait till tomorrow as I am meeting with the surgeon then (Wednesday January 27th) and with my regular doctor after that appointment. My Oncologist, Tami, has been sent the info to prepare for our meeting.
So here I go... again.
Cancer sucks!
