Dear loved ones and family,  we wanted to send an update out on Dad. We have decided to transition Dad into Hospice care. This of course is a difficult time for us as we work to make sure he remains as comfortable and peaceful as possible. He currently is at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. He has has been struggling to stay coherent and have long meaningful conversations, but as we know, those moments, with all of you that he loves, are precious to him. We had anticipated that he would be discharged from the hospital this week,  however Dad's ammonia levels have increased. When a bed becomes available at Bethesda in Goessel, Ks., and Dad is well enough to move there, our plans are to continue care there. Peter, Jennie's husband, is a social worker there and we as a family are so thankful for his help. We will make updates on www.Caringbridge.org. We ask that you share this update with others as you find it imprortant. Please continue to pray for Dad as he makes his final life transition. Deep peace to you all.
