David Siemers

Lets see where to begin with a bit of history about Daves unfortunate battle with oral cancer.  To be clear, he has never used any form of tobacco which would be the first assumption most people would have.  The first discovery was in the 1980's with a sore discovered by his dentist inside his mouth.  That was cleared up and then appeared again in the early 90's.  Major surgery in 1994 after which he endured several Hyperbaric treatments for help with healing.  Cancer raised its ugly head again in 2007 on the other side of his mouth.  Major surgery again.  He has not been able to eat normal food since the first surgery so his diet consists mostly of liquids or very soft foods.  So after 11 years we thought he would never have this problem again, when for the third time another tumor showed up in the front of his mouth this time.  On this day, August 29, 2018 he is in surgery once again as I write this.  His 6 sons and I are still waiting after 11 hours of surgery for the surgeon to come in and tell us he is finally out of the Operating Room.  Dave has been such a patient man through all of his trials.  He worries more about the rest of us than himself.  He has spent 24 years watching everyone else eat normal food at cookouts and family gatherings and never complains about having to settle for soup and applesauce and milkshakes.  He's one in a million and is loved so much be his family and friends and coworkers.  God has allowed us to keep him with us in spite of his setbacks.  If you have any great stories about Dave you would like to add, we would love to hear from you.  Thank you for your love and caring,
