Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Where to begin? Yesterday afternoon Dave was complaining of a severe headache to his mother while on the phone. She was urging him to go the ER but Dave declined. He was not making a lot of sense on the phone and so Mary (Dave's mom) had one of her friends go check on Dave. This friend (and I am sorry I don't know who it was) noticed Dave was not himself and took him directly to the Stoughton ER. They found that Dave had a brain bleed and transported him to St. Mary's. It is there that they ran more tests and decided that surgery was necessary to relieve the pressure. He made it through surgery and is in an induced coma. They need his brain activity to remain low and his blood pressure to remain stable. He will remain in this induced coma for a few days until they know more and feel he is more stable. During the surgery they found the bleed to be caused by a blood clot, it was not an aneurysm. The next step is to find out what caused the blood clot. Possibly a tumor? Now please keep in mind that this is the short story of it and I may have left some small things out. What is most important at this time is to know that HE CANNOT HAVE VISITORS at this time. We need to keep him in our thoughts and if you are the praying type, pray! We will do our best to keep everyone updated. If anyone has any one else has something to add please do so. We love you Davey!!
