David is an enthusiastic, imaginative, and delightful boy. He loves books, dinosaurs, robots, and superheros. Imaginitive play comes natural to him.
In February of 2019, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This particular type of Leukemia (LL) was treated at Comers Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago.
Throughout 2019, David underwent chemotherapy protocol. There were signs of optimism throughout the year; however, David's cancer returned in the summer of 2020. At that time, it was determined that he was a candidate for stem-cell treatment therapy. His treatment protocol began in early December of 2020. The stem-cell transplant is scheduled for Tuesday, December 22nd.
