As many of you might know, Rodney and David have been in Youngstown, NY for several months.  They were planning to drive back to Alexandria, MN after Thanksgiving.  David’s dad, Spot, was in the hospital and they needed to get back to be with him and Addy.  Spot’s health took a turn and he was transferred to the hospital in St. Cloud, MN.  David needed to get home quickly and flew home on Friday, November 25th.

Rodney was going to drive to Minnesota the following weekend.  Unfortunately, David got sick at the hospital and was admitted to ICU in St. Cloud.  Rodney didn’t have a lot of details but was told that David was vomiting blood.  Rodney immediately got on a plane and flew home on Tuesday, November 29th.

After a few procedures, it was discovered that the blood vessels in David’s stomach were leaking.  The doctors in St. Cloud wanted him to receive the best treatment so they transferred him via ambulance to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN on Wednesday, November 30th.

The morning of December 1st, the doctors did a procedure to stop the bleeding. The procedure went well and the doctors couldn’t have been more pleased with the results.  They said David needed to be in ICU for 24 hours, so that they could monitor his blood pressure.  They are hoping he can be released soon.
