Last week, Dave collapsed at home and was admitted to the ICU at Mercy Medical Center where he has been receiving excellent care. As of today, Friday, November 12th, Dave is recovering in the step-down ICU unit with the goal of him being moved to general care soon (if not today). His eyes are open and he knows his name but it experiencing significant confusion. He is able to have one family member visit at a time, so visiting is limited for now. We do not yet have a clear diagnosis or plans for treatment, though his care team is working hard to do both.
Right now, we need your continued prayers, well-wishes, and good vibes for Dave.
On a more practical level, we do need volunteer drivers to drop-off and/or pick-up Donna from the hospital in the afternoon or evenings, as driving in the dark is difficult for our Mom due to her macular degeneration.
We will do our best to regularly update this page with Dave's progress.
In the meantime, thank you all for your love and support.
