On December 2nd, 2017, David was in a scooter accident in Bali, Indonesia, and sustained a traumatic brain injury. He was then flown to Singapore, where he received treatment at an acute care hospital until February 22nd, 2018, when he was flown to Chicago. He then received intensive inpatient rehabilitation at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab. On April 5th, 2018, David was flown to Omaha, NE and arrived QLI Rehabilitation (Brain & Spinal Cord Injury Specialists). As of mid-October, David was transferred to a skilled nursing facility in Prophetstown, Illinois called Winning Wheels, where he continues to work hard in therapy every day.
