On Saturday, March 7, David got the call that a liver was available for him and he was to report to the liver transplant hospital in San Antonio. &nbsp;The match was confirmed and his transplant occurred on the next morning, Sunday, March 8. &nbsp;Liver transplants are one of the most complex transplants, yet have one of the highest success rates, so we remain very optimistic. &nbsp;The surgery was successful and David has been recovering very well. &nbsp;However, as with any extensive hospitalization, David and his family are facing large medical bills, living expenses being in San Antonio, and are in need of some help to get him home. &nbsp;On March 16, David is scheduled to be discharged from the hospital, but will have to remain in San Antonio close to doctors in a hotel for approximately three weeks. &nbsp;
