Thank you, The Messling Family

Hi Everyone! Thank you for the outpouring of support.
This may be the best way to keep all you updated the best we can on David.
He sustained a neck injury/spinal cord injury Friday Nov. 4 up on our property in Mt. Sterling, WI.   He was taken to Gunderson hospital in LaCrosse, Wi.  He had surgery Tuesday Nov 8th to place 2 screws in each of the cervical vertebrae (C4-C7) as well as T1 then rods were inserted to stabilized this area of his neck.  The surgery went well.  It took about 3 hours.  So yeah... the stabilization collar is now off that he was placed in Friday evening when he arrived at Gunderson Hosipital in LaCrosse.   After the ventilator is removed he will be able to start PT/OT with him rather than laying flat in bed.
So you ask what mobility does he have Penny?
He can move his arms!!! We are grateful for every feeling and movement we get.
Once again Thank you for all the prayers, prayer chains, and support it means ALOT !!
