David was in a motorcycle accident on May 27, 2018. He was taken by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia where he remained until the 12th of June. He was then transferred to Vibra Hospital a Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTAC) in Richmond where he regained strength for 6 weeks. The third stop in his progression of treatment was TBI Rehabilitation at Parham Doctor's Hospital. He had intense therapy for 4 weeks and was released from Acute Care on August 20th. David is currently at a Sub-acute TBI home to continue intense therapy geared at reintegration into his previous activities and lifestyle.
David sustained multiple rib fractures, left clavicle and scapula fracture, left orbital fracture, bruises and road rash and traumatic brain injury.
David's recovery will be long but as he said "I will get through this." Never Out of the Fight, a friend of his put that bracelet on him the day after his accident. David told me that it means "Never Give Up."
