Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

David was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in June of 2019. He has been giving it a good hard fight, starting off with chemotherapy.  Unfortunately he did not tolerate the initial chemotherapy so he was treated with hormone therapy and various other medications. The treatment slowed the cancer
progression enough that  he was able to take a final trip  with Bill to  Costa Rica January - March of 2020.  Even though he was in and out of the hospital in 2020 he continued to fight, be optimistic, and in good spirits. Despite the pandemic, David had many visits with great friends and family. He was able to make it out to Michigan this past December to celebrate Christmas with  Geoff and Hillary and their families.

Unfortunately since the first of the year, he has taken a rapid decline. He trialed a different chemotherapy but the cancer has continue to progress resulting in frequent hospitalizations. David decided during his last hospital stay to be discharged to the comfort of his home with hospice care and Bill’s support and care. He came home on Saturday, April 24th.
