Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  If you wish to help support my father's journey financially you can do so at www.GoFundMe.com/DavidKnowlton.  Dad and the family appreciates all the support given and we continue to covet your prayers.

Dad is a victim of a car accident on the morning of July 4th.  He was out on his routine morning walk which aided in his battle with Multiple Sclerosis  when an impaired driver hit him from behind and fled the scene.  We are very thankful God saw fit for an eye witness to be present to help my father.  The result of dad's injuries were significant and life changing.  He suffered paralysis from the chest down  (T4 spinal cord injury), a neck fracture (C2), 14 broken ribs, and broken clavicle.  We spent over 7 weeks in ICU and then 3 more on the floor in the hospital.  After the many up's and down's, pneumonia's, blood clots, and UTI's we have made it to rehabilitation at Barrows Neurological Institute in Phoenix.  You can learn more about the facility at https://www.barrowneuro.org.  They are a top rated spinal cord rehabilitation center and they are doing a wonderful job.  The tentative plan is for 5 weeks of rehabilitation for dad to define his level of independence.  HIs spirits are good and he is handling his situation with courage.  If you would like to send cards of well wishes you can do so to David Knowlton c/o Seth Knowlton PO Box 68766 Oro Valley, AZ 85737.  Visits are allowed, but need to be planned due to his regimented schedule.  You can text Seth at 520-471-2610 to arrange.  I will be updating the Caring Bridge site as often as possible to make sure to check back for his progress.

I believe that God has will work my father's situation for His good.  There are many things I don't understand about this situation.  But the one thing I do know is God is not finished with my father and He has something planned for him.  We covet your prayers and continue to trust God to lead us through this new path of life my father is now on.  I lean on my favorite bible verse, Jeremiah 33:3, during this time, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things you do not know."

Seth
