Welcome to our Caring Bridge site. We’ve created it to keep friends and family updated on David’s medical progress. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive and generous throughout this very trying time. This is not for the purpose of donations…just an attempt to keep people updated about his condition.
Many of you have already heard. We received a surprise this past Saturday night (April 14th) after David had a CT scan at Ballard ER to see what was happening to his back. They were seeing compressed discs and fractures in his back from the x-ray he had on Friday.
We are now at Swedish Cherry Hill. We started working with the back surgeon Sunday morning. He’s having surgery today to stabilize his neck and upper back, where he has some discs that have been attacked and have shattered.
We are waiting to get the results of the biopsy so they can start a game plan for treatment for the cancer. Right now it looks like multiple myeloma which is the best scenario to have based on the condition of his spine. I will keep everyone updated as we get more news.
