Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.    Dave was  diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer about January 5th.  He had been diagnosed with bronchitis around Thanksgiving which seemed to clear up then about a week later seemed to come back only this time it was pneumonia.  Treated for two weeks then ended up having fluid taken out of his lung on Jan.4th.  The fluid showed the cancer  It is not one a surgery can be done on.  He had a pet scan and a MRI of his brain a week later and it has not traveled anywhere else as of now it is in the lung and some lymph nodes.  He had his first chemo treatment on Monday Jan.22 and  is scheduled for 6 weeks of treatments.   Praying he will not have severe reactions and they will slow it down or ideally stop it in it's tracks!!   He is feeling good now.  He had more fluid removed on Jan.22 before his chemo treatment also but the chemo has not made him sick YET  !  His appetite is good eats and then again some snack like 5 minutes laterLOL  Just hoping it stays that way!  I will update along the way and thank you for caring.
