Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

This journey began months ago when David decided that he would go off his statin medication for high cholesterol.  The doctor was concerned and decided to do a CAT scan of his heart to check for plaque build up.  The results came in and they called with good news 0 plaque in his arteries...but they then told us while reading this test they had found a small nodule in his lung.  After finding out that David had never smoked they decided to just watch it and then check it again in a few months.  We did another CAT scan about 4 weeks ago and it did show that it was growing... so the last 3 weeks we have spent time testing and anxiously waiting for results.  Our fears were confirmed and on Thursday September 22 David and I were given the news that the nodule was cancer.  This last week has been filled with feelings of shock, fear, sadness, and HOPE.  The blessing in all of this is that it has been caught early and they do not think it has spread.  David is now going through tests and preparing for surgery.  We are so grateful for all our family and friends that have surrounded us during this difficult time and we appreciate all your prayers!
