Welcome to my sweet baby David's page. We started our NICU journey on January 27, 2017 due to David being born prematurely at 35.6 weeks gestation. He was airlifted to a special hospital shortly after he made his grand appearance into this world. He only weighed a mere 4lbs 11 1/2 OZ. After arrival he was given surfactant to help his lungs work properly. By the grace of GOD it took only one dose and my sweet baby boy was breathing on his own. Since his admission he has grown in leaps and bounds. He no longer needs to be in a special heating bed and the IV in his head has been removed. Unfortunately we are still on a feeding tube but he gets better at taking his feeds via bottle every day. I am using this site to post picture and journal updates. Please pray for us as the NICU journey is a rollercoaster of emotions. We have good days and then we have days where it feels hopeless. As if hes never going to be able to come home with me. We appreciate everyone who has been and continues to pray for us. Also, without the amazing support and unconditional love we receive from our family I don't believe we could have come this far. I promise to post updates as much as I can. Thanks so much again for all of everyone's prayers.
