In June 2020 David was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer while living in Reno Nevada. He started chemotherapy in Reno and then moved with his brother Thom to Springfield, Missouri to be closer to family. David transferred his care through the VA to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He continues chemotherapy treatments every three weeks and recently had some targeted radiation therapy. He continues treatment and is doing very well. This site has been set up to keep family and friends informed of his care and progress.
