David and I met when we were just 16 years old as junior’s in high school. We recently celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and will celebrate 45 years together on April 1, 2017. We were blessed with two children, Aaron and Sarah.
Our family continues to grow with five grandchildren – ages 8 down to one month old! We both say that there is nothing better than being a Poppi and Grammie and are certain those that have been blessed with grandchildren feel the same way.
Those that know David would agree that he is a godly man, steadfast in his faith and deeply loves Jesus. He is kind, remarkably positive and has a sense of humor that keeps everyone around him laughing and smiling. But it is his love for me, his children, grandchildren, family and friends that shine the brightest. Anyone lucky enough to know David agrees that he brings so much joy to their lives.
Last week David was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer. Sarah and I will be journaling the journey so that friends and family can know how things are going and how you can specifically pray for David and I and our family.
David is blessed to have God, family and friends to walk beside him during this very uncertain time. We all believe that David is strong enough to beat this cancer. We know this is not David’s story, but simply a chapter in a much greater story! We look forward to the day when we can post our last entry that lets our family and friends know that the battle has been WON and David is cancer-free. Until then, we appreciate all the prayers on David’s behalf.
