David Adkins

Many of you know already that David was an inpatient at Winchester Medical Center from March 14 until March 22.  For the past year or so, it's been increasingly difficult for him to get sufficient nutrition by mouth, a result of the progression of multiple system atrophy and its destruction of his autonomic functions.  The feeding tube he got on March 6 to help him  became displaced at some point, and on the 14th it became evident something was very wrong.  He was admitted through ER at 3:30 am the morning of March 15 after the feeding tube was removed.  This site is our attempt to keep our many concerned friends and family members informed.
