Dave Wesley

As many of you may know, Dave was diagnosed with MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome, a type of blood cancer) last fall.  He has been undergoing treatment.  The doctors are now recommending an allogenic stem cell transplant (i.e. bone marrow transplant from a matched donor) in early June.  He will enter the hospital on May 27 and remain there at least four weeks, post transplant.

During this time, visitation will be strictly limited.  This site will enable Dave and Kathy to

1) update people who are interested in Dave's condition,

2) allow family, friends, and well-wishers to send encouragement directly to the family,

3) provide an outlet for Dave to share his thoughts and feelings during this experience, and

4) make it easy to arrange to help out with meals, errands, and other family supports.

The Wesleys are grateful for the love and prayers they have received and felt as this situation has unfolded so far, and know that with your continued support, God's help, and excellent medical care Dave will regain his health in time to welcome his first grandchild in July.
