As many of you know, I have cranial surgery scheduled for January 29th to remove an acoustic neuroma. In layman’s terms, an acoustic neuroma is a benign tumor that grows on the balance nerve running from the ear to the brain. While the doctors describe this as a safe procedure, it does involve drilling into my skull and removing stuff (which is scary). The doctors say that most people take 6 to 8 weeks off from work for this surgery, and return to work part-time for a while. Getting back to normal is measured in months, principally because it involves relearning how to balance with only one set of functioning cochlear rings. This surgery has been planned for a couple months. Thank you for your prayers for me and my family as we continue this journey together. We rest in the assurance that the Lord is in charge.
