Dave Schulte

As many of you know, Dave has been diagnosed with throat cancer. As soon as Dave and Laura received this devastating news, they were extremely proactive finding the best doctor for this type of cancer. They have chosen Dr. Elizabeth Blair at the University of Chicago to head Dave's treatment to recovery. Dr.  Blair has helped many people and also saved Grant Achatz of Alinea and Next fame. 


Dave will start chemotherapy later this week or early next. He will have this for nine weeks and then begin a very intense radiation therapy around Thanksgiving. This therapy will have him in the U of C hospital for five days on and then nine days off. This will go on for three treatments -- so through new year's. The doctors are hopeful that after the chemo and radiation he will be cancer free!!
