Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

On Friday, September 2 about 3:40 PM, Dave was involved in a head on crash on County Road N near Baker Road, just East of Hudson.  He had finished his shift at the Hudson High School and gone to pick up a lawn mower that he had fixed.  He was on his way home to change clothes, hop on his motorcycle and head to the lake for the long Labor Day weekend.  Kathy had already left and was on her way to the lake.  While Dave was driving home, a 17 year old girl heading in the opposite direction pulled out to pass a vehicle she was following and hit Dave head on.  There was no time for either driver to do anything.  There were no skid marks from either Dave or the girl.  It literally happened in a split second.  Dave was taken from the accident scene directly to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with very serious injuries.  Follow Dave's story by reading the journal entries for each day.

THANK YOU to the Police, Fire, EMS, Bystanders and Doctors for everything they did to help Dave survive this.  Dave, Kathy, Christina, Family and Friends all wish to say thank you for all you did.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
