Darwin was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer, in March of 2021.
Looking at his blood results, we think he has had it in his system for several years. Things escalated this winter when he lost 35 pounds and had rib pain which showed two fractured ribs that were not caused by an injury.
We are doctoring with local doctors and a multiple myeloma specialist at Nebraska Medicine.
This kind of cancer is highly researched, so there are new treatments all the time.
