Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On November 10th, 2017, Darwin was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  We were happy to receive the news that it is stage 1B and they feel it will be operable. But before trying to remove the cancer need to do some chemo to try to shrink the tumor as much as possible.  Prior to staring chemo they needed to do an ERCP and put in a stent between his liver and pancreas which was done on Friday Dec  1st. He also had an infection in his left foot which needed to be treated prior to chemo.  Today, Dec 7th, he was given the ok to start chemo. He will do once a week, three  weeks on one week off for two rounds. Then have more scans to see the progress to determine if he continues with more chemo prior to surgery.  The goal is to cure. The cure is to remove the cancer without it spreading.
We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. And will try to continue update as needed.
