Thank you for visiting Dar's Caring Bridge site. She was first diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in April of 2012 and underwent a stem cell transplant in October of 2012; her "re-birth date" is 10/31/12, exactly 30 years after giving birth to me (Dana, her daughter).  She suffered a relapse roughly 1.5 years after the successful transplant which has been slowing gaining speed and momentum over the past year.  After it became clear that her outpatient and oral chemo options were no longer making much impact, she opted to reconnect with her team of specialists at UW Hospital in Madison, WI. She is now beginning a 21 day cycle which will consist of a blend of old fashioned IV chemotherapy and other interventions.

I have been amazed by her courageous and tireless spirit of resilience and perseverance and also by the e research and medical community for their interventions and support of her fight. It is my hope that as a community of people who know and love this beautiful woman, we rally around her once again in her quest to regain some health.

It is my intention to communicate her experience through this space. Prayers, photos and uplifting stories and comments are more than welcome - let your love light shine!
