Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Darin is a kind soul, believer of God and all around good person. He is a part of the Faith Riders chapter of Spring Valley where he rides for others. His selflessness, positive attitude and love for God is truly inspiring.

In June of 2015 Darin was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. In October of that year he had surgery where they removed his prostate and 23 lymph nodes as the disease had gone into his lymph node system.

January 2016 Darin found out that the cancer had now started in his bones. He was told by doctors that he had less than 2 years left to live.

In February of 2016 Darin traveled to Tijuana to receive a holistic, organic detoxification treatment that had been known to diminish cancer in people with his same diagnosis. He was in Tijuana for three and a half weeks receiving treatment.

2015-present he has had to battle cancer six times. It has been in his prostate, surrounding areas of the prostate, the right and left side of his pelvis, in his neck and at the base of his tongue.

Darin has been through 124 radiation treatments, 10 chemo treatments, and 6 hormone therapy treatments. He was told that he should not have made it through the last battle and almost did not. “When I am weak, God is strong,” Darin says.

May, 2021 Darin found out that his cancer was back for the seventh time. This time it has migrated to his spine and spinal cord so doctors are not able to do any kind of operations. His plan as of now is radiation, chemo and hormone chemotherapy to try and attack the disease.

“The fight is on. No matter what happens I will still be blessed. I will get to stay here with my loved ones or be in heaven forever with my Lord and savior.”

Darin will face expensive medical bills in an effort to treat his cancer. Please consider giving to help him in his time of need as he continues to do for others.

“Remember to love, live and laugh with loved ones and friends every chance you get. Life is shorter than you think.” - Darin Jacobsen
