On August 14th we learned that Dan has esophageal cancer. A visit with his doctor was scheduled soon after he experienced some unusual symptoms -- unexplained and quick weight loss and the inability to finish a meal. After rigorous follow-up testing, doctors have secured a plan that will include 28 radiation treatments administered every day for about 6 weeks, along with chemotherapy once a week. After that, his team of doctors will re-evaluate and determine next steps.


If you know Dan (and visiting this site, you most likely do!), you already know he is approaching this with the utmost courage and strength - mentally, emotionally and most of all, spiritually - no different from how he lives his daily life. Dan is solid in his belief and hope in the gospel of Jesus Christ, where he draws his strength.
