Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement .  This is very new territory for us and I know that we will be stronger because of the support we have from loving friends and family. We will need our own space

Dan has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer Mets to the liver. It came as a shock to us as he did not have symptoms until recently. He only had a persistent back ache that he kept complaining about and made it difficult to do his  work. He is too young for the routine screenings and this wasn't on our radar.

After months of dealing with his back pain and doing different therapies related to that, he had an MRI and then bone scan, CAT scans, Liver Biopsy and finally colonoscopy. The primary tumor was located there. We found out that it had spread to his liver. We are now at the beginning of this journey and hope to start treatment soon so he can feel better and get back to his normal routines without pain.

We will be strong and we will be fighting each step of the way and we join the journey that so many others are also on. It will not define or defeat us. We thank you again for your support as we keep things as normal as possible for our two children.
