We were astonished to find out that Dan's sleep doctor detected a heart murmur! After a battery of tests, we know that Dan has a faulty Mitral Valve and a Tricuspid Valve that needs to be repaired. The good news is that there are no artery or blood vessel blockages. He has a genetic condition called Barlow's Syndrome. He is young and in good health, so we expect that the outcome of the surgery will be positive.

The cardiologist says that "We only want to do this once!" So the valves are repaired and we are good to go! Like his knee surgery, Dan is confident that he will come out with a renewed vitality.
