Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  Thank you for visiting.

In August of 2017 Dan was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the pancreas, a.k.a. pancreatic cancer. After multiple related complications with drainage of the gallbladder, infections, and numerous rounds of antibiotics Dan was finally able to start chemotherapy on October 2nd. Pancreatic cancer is a very tough and aggressive little devil, but it's safe to say we all know who is tougher (and let's be honest a little stubborn) OUR MAN DAN! Let the fight begin!

Dan will be undergoing intense chemotherapy treatments in addition to complementary naturopathic treatments for at least the next 3 months. Goal #1 - stop the tumor from growing further and ultimately shrink it. Goal #2 - surgery to remove the tumor if it can be shrunk to an operable stage. Dan is working with his longtime and trusted Oncologist at the University of Iowa in addition to an amazing surgeon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. As added support, Dan has assembled a fantastic team of naturopathic practitioners to support his overall health and immunity during this process.

YOU! Dan and Kathy feel so incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful group of family and friends to support him during this most challenging of journeys. At this stage in the process your love, prayers, words of hope and encouragement, jokes, and messages on this page is all that is needed and greatly appreciated. We will be posting updates as they arise, so check back often.
