Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Dan entered Georgetown University Hospital on Saturday, February 15th complaining of stroke-like symptoms: slurred speech, difficulty finding words, pronounced weakness on the right side of his body and some facial asymmetry.  After a solid week of  diagnostics, the doctors at Georgetown have a preliminary diagnosis.  They believe he has a glioma (a tumor) that extends to multiple regions of the brain.  They also believe it is inoperable.

Dan was released from the hospital on Friday, February 21st.  He is scheduled to meet with a Georgetown surgeon on Thursday February 27th to discuss a potential biopsy.  We will use the space below to report on how that goes and on subsequent medical visits.

Please keep in mind that he is very happy to hear from family and friends.  Dan has mentioned several times that it is very reaffirming to know that the people you care about care about you.
