Here's Dad's story. Dad has not been feeling well for quite a few months, in mid March 2017 he started to feel flu like symptoms. The flu like symptoms worsened, so we took him to the Providence emergency room. The doctors quickly realized Dad was very ill and would need to be stabilized and medically flown to the University of Washington Medical Center. Dad was diagnosed with Pneumonia, sepsis, and blood cancer . On Wednesday, March 29th Dad arrived in Seattle. He was intubated for the flight and remained sedated heavily, unable to be taken off the respirator and/or wake or talk until Sunday, April 9th.
