Welcome to Danny's CaringBridge site! It was created it to keep friends and family updated, and we appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. 

For those who might not already know, I recently found out that I have a congenital heart defect that started producing symptoms like chest pains, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Over the past few weeks I have had a bunch of tests, scans, and procedures to figure out what is going on, and I also just had a heart catheterization to get an even better look at what's happening inside my heart. That test confirmed that I will need open-heart surgery to fix the malformation, and it has been scheduled for Thursday, June 30.

Several people have reached out to see how they can help out as I go through the process of surgery and recovery, and this website is an easy way to post an update in one place to inform a lot of people. The good thing about this website is that there is a planning calendar where I can post any opportunities to help me out with an errand or a meal for a particular day. You can also post any thoughts or messages, and you can even set it up so that the website will email or text you when either my sister or I post updates. 

I am looking forward to getting past the surgery and on the road to recovery! Stay tuned for more posts...
