You know Danny - he prefers to stay busy and active.  However, he has been sidelined with a health concern.  Just after his Cross Country season this year, we found out that Danny has a Congenital Heart Defect.  This condition was causing him chest pain during XC races and if not corrected, could cause more harm later in life.   Danny will be having Open Heart Surgery on Tuesday, February 21st.  He will likely spend 3-5 days in the hospital and will then come home.  We expect him to come home on Saturday, February 25th.  He may return to school during the week of 2/27, but his pain level and recovery progress will dictate. Danny has asked that while he is in the hospital we limit visitation to just family members. Once Danny is back home, he would welcome friends and visitors and I will update this page with more information.

Danny will be back to school in no time, according to his doctors.  He will have a lengthy recovery, but he will be able to do many of his regular activities - however, he will not be able to drive for 6 weeks.  This means that we will be trying to find things for him to do on the weekends and some week nights to stay busy. Some of Danny's favorite things:  music - all kinds, funny videos, word puzzles, running, baseball and talking with friends.
