Dan Neuburg DanN Update

After using Carepages the past six years the site is no longer available as of 12/31/17.  This was just a wonderful way to communicate with everyone.  We have now chosen CaringBridge to communicate the next set of updates for Dan.


Dan was diagnosed in November 2011 with WM - Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia blood type cancer which is a non-Hodgkins type of
Lymphoma.  The doctor took a bone barrow draw and it showed containing 98% bad cells.  Dan took chemotherapy for one year and right after his last treatment he went to have his own stem cells harvested in December 2012 at UW Health Hospital in Madison, WI. 
Dan had many blood draw labs along with bone marrow draws to keep checking the levels.

Dan has been able to keep his IGM, IGG, IGA blood counts controlled and holding. 
In March 2016 - August 2016 Dan received IVIG infusions to help improve his immune system.
The Oncology doctor and staff have been keeping a close eye on all of the blood levels.

In spring 2017 Dan's Lambda blood count was elevated which is a sign of MM - Multiple Myeloma blood type cancer is present.
The Oncology doctor and staff are keeping a close eye on this blood level as well.  They have been sending Dan for skeletal scans to keep a watch on his bone structure and 24 hour urine tests.

The medical doctors and staff in Oncology, Pain Management, Urology, ENT, Primary Doctor, A Fib, Eye Doctor have been so good to work with.  It is one day at a time and everything is in God's hands.
