Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. The outpouring of care and concern since Dan has been diagnosed with a brain mass has been overwhelming to us and we want to be sure those of you who want to know what is happening are kept informed.  If you don't know, Dan was diagnosed about three weeks ago with a brain tumor.  It was found on an MRI that he had for his annual checkup as a result of being diagnosed with MS about 18 months ago.  The neurologist said it isn't related to his MS, so he will have surgery at Moffitt Cancer Center on March 7, 2016 to try and determine exactly what it is and what the treatment plan will be. The Neurosurgeon has said he cannot tell us what it is until he sees it. Dan wanted to wait until after our youngest son Matthew's wrestling season was over to have his surgery, and since he isn't having any symptoms right now, the doctors agreed.  

 So far Dan hasn't had any significantly disturbing symptoms except for memory loss, but we're not sure if that is related to the tumor or the MS. The only sure thing we know at this point is that we are thankful for all of the prayers that are being said, and for all of you who have offered to help care for Dan, me and our boys while we are on this journey. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time more than we can ever express. We cherish your friendships.  But most of all we know that God is always good all of the time.  And this is what we are counting on to get us through.
