Welcome to Daniel Pesula's CaringBridge site.

Daniel Pesula is a husband to Beth, father to Tyler and Gavin, son to Ed and Dianne, brother to Jeff and Michele, and friend to many.

In the fall of 2014, after dealing with a nagging cough and tiredness, Dan was diagnosed with mono and walking pneumonia. However, during the winter, the original symptoms persisted and he began to experience pain in his lower abdomen and developed kidney issues. After many doctors' visits and tests, it was discovered in February 2015 that Dan had stage IV colon cancer. Over the next 15 months Dan went through many chemo treatments, which improved his health immensely. He was able to spend time with his family and friends doing things that he loved, like skiing, boating, and coaching baseball.

In mid-May of 2016, Dan began experiencing health issues- difficulty breathing, fatigue, and pain in the upper right region of his abdomen. Dan was admitted to Concord Hospital on Sunday, June 5th. He has been a patient there in the weeks since.

We will be updating this page as often as possible. Please feel free to leave a comment or mail a card. We do ask that you don't text or call Dan and Beth, as things are overwhelming at this point.

Please know that all of your good thoughts, prayers, and love are appreciated more than words can express.

**I have had a few people ask about donations. If you make a donation on Caring Bridge, it goes to the website, not Dan. If you want to donate to them for the service they provide, that is fine. If you want to donate to support Dan and his family, you can send a check to Captain Dan Pesula Fund, c/o Michele Pesula Kuegler, 19 Broadview Drive, Litchfield, NH, 03052.
