On 8 July 2016, Daniel was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Other than being extremely tired, there were really no other symptoms. The day after his 58th birthday, his left lymph node swelled up and was extremely sore, which prompted him to see our primary care doctor. After two weeks of being told it was a virus and he would just have to let it run its course, we received the diagnosis that changed our lives forever. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola under the care of a wonderful and super smart oncologist.
