on friday june 30th dj was riding a motorcycle heading to the jallo family reunion. he was driving on gravel roads when he lost control hit a gopher mound and went over the handle bars. he was ambulanced to altru in grand forks where he was admitted to sccu. he had a ct which showed a fracture at T-9. neurosurgery made the decision to life flight him to the cities. he was intabated before the flight. once we arrived they immediately started working on him placing a central line and arterial line to closely monitor blood pressure. his vitals have been pretty stable, he is able to open eyes on command and squeeze hands. he has been unable to move anything from the waist down. i have been told he has a very slight chance of ever walking again which is the most terrifying! thank you to everyone for all the support and i will update as i can. this is going to be a long recovery and he needs all the prayers he can get!
