Daniel is an eighteen (soon to be 19) year old young men, living in the Clayton, Delaware area. With his parents, Alton and Susan, his two older brothers, Matthew and Michael, and one younger sister, Rebecca.
He is a very active person who can do most anything he sets his mind to. He owns a lawn cutting business and works in construction in the winter.
He was having pain in his knee area this past winter and went to the doctor at 1st State Orthopedics on March 22nd. After completing an x-ray they sent him to do a MDI and a MRI on the same day.
On March 26th, they met with Dr. Powell at AI DuPont and received a diagnosis of "Osteosarcoma Cancer" in his leg. The rest of that week was a week of many tests to make sure where all the cancer was. Thankfully, it’s only in the knee of his leg.
The next appointment with Dr. Powell was on April 6th and a treatment plan was presented. He began his first chemo treatment on April 9th and has had three consecutive weeks of treatment and then three weeks off.
